Krooked Eyes DBX

DBX decks have been designed for an ultra-responsive, lightweight, and fast riding experience that remains consistent throughout the board's lifespan. They are lighter, thinner, and stronger than traditional 7-ply decks. Made from 3 layers of interwoven basalt, combined with 4 standard inner veneers and 2 thinner outer veneers; hand-laminated and precisely pressed in individual molds to meet exact specifications.

What is basalt and why is it used in a deck? Basalt is a hard, black volcanic rock formed by the rapid cooling of molten lava and is known for its multidimensional strength properties. The three layers of basalt enhance the structural integrity and stiffness of the deck, providing the maple veneers with a feel that maximizes the natural resonance of the wood.

Unlike typical composite decks that focus solely on strength, DBX decks are designed not only for strength but also for responsiveness, ride feel, pop, and overall lasting performance throughout the board's lifespan.
