Edelrid Shield II Helmet

Lightweight and robust softshell helmet with an optimized closure system for even better wearing comfort. The ideal helmet for long and demanding alpine adventures. Softshell helmets consist of a very thin outer shell made of polycarbonate, firmly bonded to an impact-absorbing EPS core (expanded polystyrene). Energy absorption occurs through deformation of the EPS core. The polycarbonate shell protects the EPS core from damage and distributes the forces over the entire helmet shell. Softshell helmets are particularly lightweight, although less stable than other helmet types.

The innovative Wing Fit system with a rotary knob at the back of the head allows for quick adjustment of the headband to the individual head shape. For transport, the system can be folded into the helmet. The fully adjustable chin strap with side-mounted buckles ensures optimal hold and increased comfort.

The helmet features four robust headlamp clips for attaching headlamps of all kinds.
