Weighing in at just 37 grams per meter, the Beal Rando 8 mm takes up little space but offers impressive durability! Its excellent properties ensure your safety on firn routes and dizzying passages, whether hiking or ski mountaineering. The rope is perfectly suited for simple snow hikes, glacier tours, and cross-country skiing.

The term "simple snow hike" indicates that no technical difficulties, such as crossing glacier crevasses that require belaying from a stance, are to be expected. The uses of a dynamic rope are versatile: it can be used as a single strand of a single rope, a strand of a half rope, or a strand of a twin rope. Using them in a sequential manner has practically become standard. BEAL recommends using a strand of a twin rope.

To provide a more realistic representation of this rope's dynamic performance, BEAL has chosen to specify the capabilities based on its use as a single strand rather than as a tested twin rope with two strands. Thus, the chosen fall factor is set at 0.8, but with 80 kg on one strand, and the measured impact force is also limited under the same conditions.
