The ACE AF1 axle is manufactured using a specific casting process while maintaining the original Ace geometry. The structural integrity of the aluminum has been enhanced by 70 percent through material optimization. The sizing of models 44 to 77 is tailored to various board widths. The construction consists of an AA 356.2 alloy with T6 heat-treated base plates and hangers. The axle pins made from SAE 4140 steel alloy are oversized to prevent bearing play. The model features axle nuts with an integrated re-threading function. The pivot bushings are made from hand-poured 96a urethane. The ends of the hangers are machined for precise bearing alignment.
