For children learning to ride a bike, weight is a critical factor. The Grade 2 from Academy weighs only 5.3 kg, making it one of the lightest children's bikes on the market. Its low weight allows the Academy Grade to handle better in turns and makes it easier for young riders to accelerate and tackle inclines. With a lightweight bike, little ones also require less strength to get it moving. The low step-through height of the frame enables children to mount and dismount easily.
