In my experience, the coffee grounds can sometimes be a little soggy. But it could just as well be that something is 'reddening' due to the high pressure involved. I would keep an eye on it and, unfortunately, send it in for repair if necessary.

The quantity of coffee beans cannot be adjusted directly, as the bean container has a fixed capacity of 150 g. However, you can programme the amount of coffee that is prepared, from 25 ml to 250 ml.
Unfortunately, this coffee machine is total rubbish. Sometimes cold coffee, sometimes more water than coffee. To anyone who wants to buy it: "Hands off!"
