After the descaling process, the "Calco Clean" indicator does not go out. Does anyone have an answer to this problem? dabelju

The CALCO CLEAN display did not go away after descaling. We sent the appliance in and received it back telquel with the answer that the appliance was intact, we had just not followed the instructions correctly.
Since then, we continued to repeat the descaling process as indicated in the manual (yes, we can read and act accordingly). Two problems remained:
1. our machine does not flash before the rinse cycle,
2. the CALCO CLEAN indicator remains lit after cleaning is complete.
Our observation showed that the machine needs approx. 13 min. for the cleaning mixture (total 9dl liquid) to pass through until the flashing espresso cup and water symbols indicate that the water tank should be filled in order to continue cleaning with the rinse. If you miss this short flashing phase, the machine automatically aborts the cleaning programme after a certain time. To avoid this, we set the kitchen timer. We noticed that although the tank was empty after 13 minutes, there was no flashing on our machine to prompt us to fill the tank. Filling the tank within the allotted time nevertheless initiates the rinse cycle, but the CALCO CLEAN prompt does not go out afterwards.
Conclusion:
1. and if it hasn't died, it still lights up.... We just don't feel like paying postage again for sending it in and having to do without coffee for a fortnight, only to be told again that we are "too stupid for this machine". But maybe our experiences will at least help others.
Apart from this annoying defect, we enjoy the quality and quantity of the coffee to the full!

I also had the same problem. Also that the refilled beans were not recognised. The first time I had the machine serviced, it was returned to me without being repaired and I had to read the instructions more carefully 😡... I then ignored the Calcoclean because I had descaled the machine but the machine didn't seem to notice đŸ€·đŸ»â™€ïž Because of the beans, I sometimes had to turn the machine upside down so that it would work again. Now I have it in for service for the 2nd time because the water is also no longer pumping, meaning no more coffee comes out. I have also mentioned the other problems again. So far I don't know if anything can be repaired... I am a bit disappointed with the machine because of so many problems in the first 2 years. Otherwise, I think it's a good machine, but I don't know if it's a one-off...

I have found the solution for me:
1)Fill with 900ml of total liquid (be sure to remove the container for filling, the container must also be free of lime scale).
2)Press the espresso button and Onoff button for 5sec.
3)Decalcification process starts (approx. 10min)
4)Machine then reports no water. Remove the container from the machine and fill it with fresh water up to the maximum level.
5) Now the most important thing, the machine lets the water run through after inserting it, but not only once, as you might think, but it takes a short break and then rinses again. After the first rinse, the machine displays the espresso button plus Calcoclean and you think you are back at the beginning of the process. Then just wait, it rinses a second time and then switches off automatically.

Unfortunately, I was not told this in the email nor is it clearly stated in the instructions.

Sometimes you have to run through the process twice. That has always helped me!

I also have the problem with the Calco Clean light from time to time, but it usually goes away when I increase the amount of descaler and then start a cycle - I can also confirm, like my predecessors, that it works after the second time of starting the process.

I also have this problem: the descaling process is never completed, i.e. the rinse is never initiated. The Calco Clean indicator never goes out either. I find this extremely unsatisfactory, as the machine is new. I will not send it in after the answers I have read so far.
Could we perhaps have a statement from Digitec?

I had the same problem. I returned the machine, after which the descaling functioned normally for about a year. Then it didn't stop descaling, even after seven refills the programme kept running. The 'Calco clean' display cannot be cleared manually. But fortunately the machine does not react to this (more expensive machines block the process if you do not descale). The Finessa keeps making coffee endlessly. That's why it always lights up on my machine, hasn't harmed the quality of the coffee so far.

I have just had the same problem - I have also started the descaling process again. As far as I understand it, the display changes to espresso after the descaling agent has run through.
After some time (approx. 1 min), the display changes to hot water. Rinsing can only be triggered as long as the espresso symbol is illuminated. If you wait too long before removing and inserting the water tank (until the hot water symbol lights up), the process cannot be completed correctly and the calco clean will not disappear.
In this case, the machine has descaled but not finished rinsing.
In my case, the descaling process takes about 14 minutes with approx. 1 litre, I set a timer each time.

i always fill the machine with water that has already been decalcified. i simply ignore the decalcification lamp. otherwise, a super machine!
