Tampers are essential for preparing espresso. They compress the coffee grounds in the portafilter, build pressure, and prevent the brewing water from flowing through too quickly. This results in a perfect espresso. The bases have a flat surface for pressing the coffee grounds and are made from solid stainless steel on a CNC lathe. The elegantly shaped handle fits comfortably in the hand, as the length and weight of the handle are in a precisely balanced ratio. All handles are turned from wood, and the oak handles are lacquered.
