The quality barbecue glove is made of Kevlar blended fabric: These fibres, similar to carbonf, have a negative coefficient of thermal expansion in the longitudinal direction, i.e. the fibres become shorter and thicker when heated: Thus they offer very good protection against heat. The silicone nubs ensure a secure grip, the knitted cuff provides optimum protection for the wrist.
