Monge VetSolution Canine Gastrointestinal Das Fit-aroma® from Monge VetSolution Canine Gastrointestinal contains natural horse chestnut extract, which has been shown to have an antispasmodic effect by modulating cholinergic receptors and calcium channels in the intestine. The Fit-aroma® has astringent properties that slow down peristalsis. The effectiveness of Fit-aroma® is enhanced by the inclusion of bacteria, including inactivated Lactobacillus acidophilus, Lactobacillus casei, Lactobacillus plantarum, and Streptococcus thermophilus. These are resistant to gastric juice, digestive enzymes, and bile acids, and are able to adhere to the intestinal epithelium.

The proteins in Monge VetSolution are primarily of animal origin. Fats are used to limit intestinal load and maintain energy, and are essential for epithelial regeneration. In terms of maintenance systems, electrolyte levels are increased to compensate for excessive water loss. The product contains probiotics and prebiotics for the benefit of the gut flora.
