Simon Legald designed a chair for Normann Copenhagen with the aim of creating a piece that appears to be cast in one piece, where the seat and frame form a cohesive unit. To achieve this seamless, integrated look, a new and innovative solution was developed to connect the seat with the legs. The pre-shaped seat shell and the frame made of oak, walnut, or steel are easily connected using a unique plug-in system. The hard plastic seat elegantly meets the wooden or steel legs, highlighting the high-quality craftsmanship and the minimalist approach of Scandinavian furniture design.
