PH 5 Pendant Light Monochrome. Perhaps the best-selling dining light in Scandinavia: In 1957, Poul Henningsen created the icon of all pendant lights for the Danish manufacturer Louis Poulsen. Several logarithmically tuned shades and diffusers provide a warm, soft, and above all, glare-free light. Additionally, the upper reflector is cleverly showcased in its inverted position. The smallest reflector inside the light is also well thought out: In the classic matte lacquered pendant light, there is an additional lacquered reflector around the self-inserted light bulb (E27 socket) that prevents direct visibility of the bulb. With this small trick, Poul Henningsen consistently creates glare-free illumination – perfect as a bright yet friendly ambient light above the dining table or workspace. Louis Poulsen now offers the classic PH 5 pendant light as a monochrome special edition in a uniform color scheme.
