Kartell FL/Y LED pendant luminaire

FL/Y LED pendant light. A classic from the late sixties? Not quite! The original design by Ferruccio Laviani dates back to 2002 – with the designer himself being from 1960. However, in his use of the colored plastic lampshade, Ferruccio Laviani is not solely guided by aesthetic considerations: the light spheres, reminiscent of soap bubbles, are cut not at their meridian but slightly below the center for optimal light diffusion. Kartell offers the lampshade in various colors – from clear or colored transparency to opaque elegance in metallic and non-metallic shades, allowing each room to appear in a different light. The transparent versions, in particular, reveal a beautiful detail: the suspension with a cable length of up to 190 cm showcases a chrome lamp holder (E27 including LED bulb).
