Horgenglarus Select

Select brings Parisian ambiance into the home. A wooden chair in which the hours pass pleasantly. Reading fifty pages of Kafka or half a dozen newspapers, playing chess for hours, developing and discussing ideas - gladly in French - that is the world of the legendary "Café Select" as immortalized in pictures and literature. The architect Willy Boesiger opened it in 1935 on the first floor of the former hotel "Du Lac" at Limmatquai 16 to bring Parisian café culture to Zurich. The Select was the favorite café of the bohemians, writers, actors, architects, journalists and intellectuals, a place of access for strangers and non-conformists. Klaus Mann, Max Frisch or Friedrich Dürrenmatt were some of the Select. In memory of the pub, which closed in 1998, Zurich DJ Oliver Stumm opened the bistro "Café Select" on New York's Lafayette Street with furniture from horgenglarus to subtly bring Swiss flair to the metropolis.Werner Max Moser's wooden chair select 1-370, however, is not just for the epicenters of the avant-garde or in the restaurant business, it quickly caught on with a wide range of consumers.
