Horgenglarus was founded in 1880 in Horgen near Zurich and expanded in 1902 to include the factory site in Glarus. Today, the company is the oldest chair and table manufacturer in Switzerland. For 135 years, horgenglarus has been among the world leaders in furniture manufacturing in terms of design and quality. The tables and chairs are made using the bentwood technique and since the beginning, the company has cultivated the culture of careful design and collaboration with great Swiss artists, which are still produced today. The classics of Swiss furniture making are the haefeli (Max Ernst Haefeli, 1926), moser (Werner Max Moser, 1931), the ess.tee.tisch (Jürg Bally, 1951) or the two chair families miro and lyra (both Hannes Wettstein, 1999/ 2007). horgenglarus stands for the highest standards of production technology and precision craftsmanship. This is why, in addition to the products in the collection, one-off and special designs are also possible - products of high quality and durability that will last for several generations.
