Born in 1893 and passed away in 1974, Christian Dell was one of the most prominent representatives of the German Bauhaus, teaching and working as an industrial designer and silversmith in the metal workshop of the Weimar Bauhaus. Together with sculptor Marianne Brandt, he developed lamps in an avant-garde rational style suitable for industrial mass production. One of Christian Dell's most famous works is the Kaiser Idell, designed for the Kaiser brothers, which is now being reissued by Fritz Hansen.
