The Fritz Hansen Kaiser Idell 6556-F floor lamp by designer Christian Dell is one of the most prominent lamps from the Bauhaus school, which was established in Germany in 1919 by Walter Gropius. It is made from partially chrome-plated steel and silver-soldered brass, featuring globally patented swivel connections, and is hand-painted with either matte or glossy lacquer: a noble design classic and a lifelong companion that you simply must know!

Christian Dell, born in 1893 and passed away in 1974, was one of the most well-known representatives of the Weimar Bauhaus school. He worked as a teacher and master craftsman in the metal workshop. Together with sculptor Marianne Brandt, he developed lamps in the typically rational-architectural style for various companies, intended for industrial mass production. Among his most famous works are the now legendary Kaiser Idell lamps designed for the Gebrüder Kaiser.
