Fritz Hansen Aeon Rocket P1 pendant lamp

The Fritz Hansen Aeon Rocket P1 pendant lamp by designer Morten Voss is the very first pendant light in the history of interior design that harmoniously combines all the advantages of the lighting qualities of metal and polypropylene in a single design. While the simply designed metal upper shade reflects as much light as possible downwards, the lower, translucent and delicate shade made of eight intricately woven white polypropylene bands spreads the light warmly and brightly throughout the room.

Danish autodidact Morten Voss, who became a well-known Scandinavian interior designer, grew up on the west coast of Jutland and dreamed of designing airplanes and jets as a child. Born in 1963, Voss initially aimed for a career in aviation and aerodynamics but ultimately found his path as a self-taught designer, working for companies like Fritz Hansen in the furniture industry. With 15 years of professional experience and his own design studio in Copenhagen, Voss is now considered one of the most renowned and experimental representatives of the "new" generation of designers.

The name says it all, as the design of the Fritz Hansen Aeon Rocket P1 pendant lamp by Morten Voss is clearly inspired by aviation and aerodynamics in its lines and functionality.
