Being close to Mama or Papa's body makes the baby feel safe. The familiar feeling of being in a cozy space allows it to gently grow into the new life. Carrying fosters trust and bonding. Warmth and movement provide comfort. Muscles and the spine are trained, and the sense of balance is developed. Carried children are often more balanced, as they can participate in family life from a protected position. In a baby carrier, the baby can always assume an optimal posture: legs slightly spread and bent (the so-called "squat-splay position"), with a rounded back. This was also the baby's position in the womb, and it is only in the first year of life that the spine gradually stretches. Proper carrying supports healthy physical development, particularly of the spine and hips. Last but not least, carrying is practical – you have both hands free for siblings or to manage daily tasks. Stairs, getting on the bus, or hiking trails are no longer obstacles.
