I-Size is a new European regulation that provides even more protection for children during car travel. Since July 2013, the use of ISOFIX, additional side impact protection, and rear-facing travel up to 15 months has been mandated for i-Size compliant child car seats. I-Size will not replace the current standard ECE R44/04; it remains valid. This means that existing belt and ISOFIX child car seats can continue to be sold and used. All previous Maxi-Cosi child seats meet the currently applicable highest safety standards and have proven their protective effectiveness in countless tests and in practice. I-Size now offers an additional option for parents to choose the optimal child seat for them. Often, buckling and unbuckling a lively, kicking infant is a challenging task.
