Only one buckle:
The Hop-Tye Advanced is a half-buckle carrier: the belly strap is closed with a buckle, while the straps are fanned out wide at the back and knotted at the front. This eliminates the complicated adjustment for different body types.

Straps that can be fanned out for a real sling feeling:
It is mainly the shape and length of the straps (often called wrapconversion straps) that sets the Hop-Tye apart from other halfbuckle carriers. The unpadded sling hugs the shape of the shoulder perfectly, so that the weight of the child can be distributed over the bony structure of the outer shoulder and nothing presses on the neck muscles. The long straps offer the option of not only tying the knot under your child's bottom, but also providing additional support by crossing the straps over the child's back once more. This provides more lateral stability, support for heavier children and, if necessary, a wider bar between the child's legs.
