The Stiftung Warentest child car seat test shows: Some models are not safe. But good child seats are available for little money. Our latest study brings test results for 26 new child seats and infant carriers. Many of them do well. In addition, many good or very good seats from earlier tests are still available. But it is important to compare, more than 40 models in our database are defective.
Britax Römer Kidfix M
Child seat, ECE R129/i-Size StandardProduct details
The Kidfix M I-Size has been developed in collaboration with leading automotive manufacturers to ensure that children aged 3.5 to 12 can travel safely. It is approved according to the i-Size standard and offers reliable safety as well as maximum comfort. Its narrow seat design allows the child seat to be installed in many vehicles, making it an ideal solution for the needs of your growing family. The Kidfix M I-Size even meets stricter test criteria to provide your child with the best possible protection. For maximum safety in the event of a collision, the seat has been developed in partnership with leading automotive manufacturers. The soft, padded side wings and headrest provide additional protection for your child. Maximum comfort and functionality are always included with the Kidfix M I-Size.
The soft, padded fabric covers and carefully placed ventilation holes in the shell ensure that your child remains comfortable even on longer car journeys. The slim design of the seat allows for the installation of three Kidfix M I-Size seats on the back seat of many vehicles, while practical markings help adjust the headrest to the correct height each time. The Kidfix M I-Size is approximately 1.3 kg lighter than its predecessor. It is manufactured in Germany, which creates more efficient transport routes and is environmentally friendly. Only sustainable plant-based bags and cartons made from recycled materials sourced from responsible suppliers are used for the packaging of the Kidfix M I-Size. This helps protect the environment and improves the CO2 balance. Even the labels on the products are biodegradable, ensuring that no microplastics enter the ecosystem.
