Its main applications are connecting monitors and televisions to computers, Blu-ray players, and similar devices. The connector takes up less space, making it better suited for portable display devices like ultrabooks and laptops or for two connections on a graphics card. The practical plug design prevents the cable from being pulled out of the DisplayPort socket.
