The Mini DisplayPort to DVI adapter cable allows for the direct connection of your Mini DP video source (e.g., one of your MacBook or Microsoft Surface Pro devices with mDP) to a DVI monitor or projector, saving you the cost of a Mini DisplayPort-capable monitor.

The adapter cable is 1 meter long and features plug-to-plug connections, enabling you to connect your Mini DisplayPort source directly to a DVI display without additional cables.

The adapter is compatible with Intel Thunderbolt and supports resolutions up to 1920x1200 (WUXGA) when directly connected to a DisplayPort over Thunderbolt I/O port.

It is a passive adapter that requires a Dual Mode DisplayPort connection (DisplayPort++) so that DVI and HDMI signals can also be transmitted through the port.
