This extremely high-quality XLR cable was primarily designed with low capacitance in mind, as QED engineers identified this as a key factor for optimal sound quality with particularly dynamic impulse reproduction. Additionally, the use of a zinc-manganese ferrite shield that is not connected to the ground conductor helps minimize time errors in signal transport and absorb high-frequency interference outside the audible range. QED's unique three-conductor technology also reduces the mass capacitance.
