The Reference Optical Quartz is the first optical audio cable of its kind. It consists of 210 individual borosilicate glass fibers, offering double the bandwidth and only 1/10th of the attenuation compared to conventional acrylic fibers. With a bandwidth of 150 MHz, the Reference Optical Quartz significantly exceeds the requirements for transmitting multichannel digital audio signals and is completely insensitive to bending of the conductor.
