High-speed HDMI cable with Ethernet (network) and gold-plated HDMI connectors. The twisted-pair construction ensures optimal shielding. Internally, it transmits HD video and pure audio signals. The HDMI Ethernet Channel adds high-speed networking to an HDMI connection, allowing users to fully benefit from their IP devices without the need for separate network cables (provided the devices support HDMI with Ethernet). The Audio Return Channel enables an HDMI-connected TV with a built-in TV tuner to send audio data "upstream" to a surround audio system, eliminating the need for a separate audio cable. 3D over HDMI defines input and output protocols for major 3D video formats, paving the way for true 3D gaming and 3D home theater applications. 4K x 2K video support allows for video resolutions far beyond 1080p and supports next-generation displays. Additional color spaces support extra color models used in the digital world.
