Your barber shop for at home

Barber shops are booming. But they are also expensive and if you want to treat yourself to the fun, you have to put yourself in the hands of a professional almost regularly. But you can also easily pamper yourself and your beard at home - especially now after the "Movember" month. We'll show you which products you can use.
Electric shaver for bearded men
Trim, trim, shape: Electric shavers are the tool for the job! So if you prefer anything but clean-shaven cheeks, you can shape your beard with electric beard and hair trimmers. Thanks to various attachments, different length settings are possible. If you remove the attachment, you can also create precise, clean contours.
The beard care
Long beards require attention. This means more than just the aforementioned clipping with an electric razor. Just like the hair on our heads, there are now beard shampoos, conditioners, combs and oils that care for your facial hair and keep it smooth (or take money out of your pocket, depending on how you want to look at it). My work colleague Dominik definitely swears by it.
Wet shaving for the "smooth shave"
If you prefer to shave your face, it's best to opt for a wet shave. Lather the beard or stubble well first. You can use a ready-made shaving foam from a spray can or a shaving soap with a brush. Leave the foam on for about three minutes and then shave in the direction of hair growth. Then apply more foam for round two and shave against the grain. However, if you are very sensitive, it is better to skip this step. Finish with a splash of cold water on the face like in the advert and voilà - you're ready for the next stage: grooming!
Care after the wet shave
After a wet shave, the skin often suffers from so-called "razor burn". The face then shows redness and skin irritation - especially on the neck. With very sensitive skin, the reaction can also manifest itself in the form of a severe rash or razor bumps. The best way to avoid razor burn is to take preventative measures, such as using a sharp blade. If you have enough time, you can also prepare your skin for the strain by holding a warm, wet towel over your face for two minutes. Of course, a warm shower beforehand will also do the trick. After shaving, you should definitely use a moisturiser to soothe the skin and relieve tension.

As a massive Disney fan, I see the world through rose-tinted glasses. I worship series from the 90s and consider mermaids a religion. When I’m not dancing in glitter rain, I’m either hanging out at pyjama parties or sitting at my make-up table. P.S. I love you, bacon, garlic and onions.
