Warm all over: cool coats to get you through winter
I love coats. My coat is the starting point and the finishing touch to every outfit. What’s great about coats is that there’s one for every kind of weather and there’s no limit to the range of styles. Our Swiss winters can get very cold and last for a few months, so it’s definitely worth investing in two or three different coats to keep you warm all the time. I’ll talk about my favourite coats below and hopefully, there’s something for you there, too. Winter is coming…
Buttoned up
Double-breasted suits are an all-time classic and can be combined with elegant leather boots or sports sneakers. Long models with buttons remind of a trench coat. Combine them with a pair of flat slip-on shoes and your brit chic outfit is complete.
Short coats
Thanks to fake fur, wool and lining, you can get away with a short coat without freezing even in the cold season. Checked or quilted patterns are great to spice things up and look especially cool with biker boots or in an urban street style combination.

If you like wearing oversized coats in winter, the menswear department is the place to go, even for women. The good thing about wide-cut coats is that you can wear your thick, woolly jumper underneath and are sure to stay cuddly and warm. College, bomber and denim jackets are worn with a tight turtleneck and lace-up boots this season.
Down jackets
Do you sometimes think how nice it would be to wrap your cuddly duvet around you in winter? That’s exactly what down jackets do. They keep you super warm, making them a great companion for cold temperatures. Down jackets don’t need to be dull at all; go for colour and varying stitching and you’re sure to make heads turn.
Long coats

Hoods
Winter fashion isn’t as much about looking cool than staying warm, but hoodie jackets are always a great pick. Celebs like wearing hoods to hide from paparazzi, we love them because they give us a flair of drama and keep the wind away from our ears.
