This table lamp messes with your mind
«Ziggi» will deceive you: The lamp’s three-dimensional-looking lampshade is actually flat.
The creative minds at Studio Cheha in Tel Aviv enjoy playing with your perception: The LED bulb is covered with five millimetres of acrylic glass with a laser-carved pattern. The design takes advantage of the fact that our eyes can occasionally deceive us. As soon as the glass is illuminated, it projects a shadow behind the engraved pattern. This makes the lampshade appear to be three-dimensional.
The lamp series «Bulping» was realised thanks to the help of Kickstarter. The series now contains models that come with an exchangeable acrylic glass cover. This gives you a choice of patterns that include a big wheel and a cactus.
