They even feel drier than before.
I realised years ago that Chapstick only has a temporary effect on me. I therefore sought advice from pharmacies several times and was always recommended new products. I can remember Neutrogena, Bepanthol and pure Vaseline. Although I had to apply these products less frequently, they were still more symptom relief than a return to normality.
Expensive, perfumed - but unfortunately awesome
A few years ago, a pharmacist recommended the Hydraderm lip balm from the Swiss brand Louis Widmer to me. I only realised the price at the till, otherwise I probably wouldn't have bought it. This product is three times more expensive than the others.

The skin immediately feels soft and comfortable, the dryness is magically gone. And this feeling lasts much longer than with other lip balms. I have to apply the stick maybe two or three times a day and my lips stay smooth the whole time.
As soon as the days get milder again, I can stop treating my lips. When the air is no longer so dry, I no longer have any problems. So the Hydraderm lip balm from Louis Widmer saves my lips every winter.
At least when I have it with me, which usually doesn't happen at least once at the beginning of winter. I run into a shop in a panic and buy a chapstick. You already know the story: totally dissatisfied, I return as quickly as possible to the only moisturiser that really works.
