These 7 pieces suddenly make me a fan of Jack & Jones
It's high time for a spring fling. How convenient that I've just fallen in love with the new range from Jack & Jones. Cotton knit polo shirts and floral shirts are to blame.
Hand on heart: There are (more than) a handful of brands that have fallen by the wayside somewhere between the late 1990s and today. At least in my opinion. These include, for example, Esprit, Scotch & Soda, Only, Superdry and Jack & Jones. Not contemporary enough, not exciting enough, not stylish enough. So I was all the more surprised to stumble across one cool item after another from Jack & Jones this week - virtually, of course. So I didn't suffer any injuries. Just an endless collection of pins on my watch list.
Instead of the usual T-shirts with run-of-the-mill prints, stuffy polo shirts and chinos that are too slim-fitting for my taste, a whole new world of style suddenly opened up: cool, short-sleeved shirts in cotton knit or jacquard, bold floral prints, wide denim shirts in Carhartt aesthetics. Yes, yes and yes, bring it on - and more of it, please.
Seems like I need to change my mind about the Danish brand, whose parent company "Bestseller" also includes Vero Moda, Selected Femme, Selected Homme, Vila and Only, by the way. Whatever Jack & Jones serves up for the coming summer gets a very emphatic like from me - and you get my recommendation to buy (at least) these seven pieces:
