The robots from Mammotion not only mow, they also sweep the lawn

The latest generation of robotic lawn mowers from Mammotion does not require a cable and, thanks to AI support, not only should obstacles be recognised, but mapping the lawn should also be faster.

Mammotion is positioning the Yuka models as an «all-in-one solution for lawn care». With an optional sweeping kit, the Yuka 2000 not only mows, but also removes leaves, dirt and grass clippings. According to the manufacturer, it even removes branches with a diameter of up to 3.5 centimetres.

A special feature is the automatic emptying function. You can set up to 100 emptying points via the associated app. The robot then moves to the nearest point, empties its leaf basket and continues its work without the need for manual intervention.

The models in the Yuka series

The Yuka 2000 is designed for areas up to 2000 square metres and offers 20 mowing zones. It has a cutting height of 20 to 90 millimetres. Its cutting width is 32 centimetres. Slopes of up to 45 per cent should be no problem for the mower. The robot has a floating cutting height disc, which, according to the manufacturer, ensures an even appearance and prevents the lawn from being scraped.

The Yuka mini 800 is designed for areas up to 800 square metres. The cutting height is between 20 and 60 millimetres. It can manage ten mowing zones and has a cutting width of 19 centimetres. According to the manufacturer, it can also handle slopes of up to 45 per cent.

AI for object recognition and mapping

The Yuka models work with the «UltraSense AI vision», which is designed to ensure better object detection and avoidance. It also saves you having to lay cables or set up an antenna station. Automatic lawn measurement should work with just a few clicks in the app.

The robot automatically recognises boundaries and creates virtual maps for areas of up to 2000 square metres. Depending on the model, you should be able to create up to 20 user-defined areas in the multi-zone management, each with its own schedule and mowing pattern.

According to the manufacturer, the devices can also work in light rain and automatically return to the charging station when the battery is running low.
