That '70s Show
The sitcom 'That '70s Show' is celebrating its 20th anniversary today. I'd like to take this opportunity to celebrate the fashion of that era.
Twenty years ago today, the first episode of That '70s Show, the hit American series comprisinge of 8 seasons and 200 episodes still delighting aficionados, was broadcast on television for the first time. Even after watching it for the umpteenth time, Eric Forman's gang of mates are still just as crazy as ever. And that's just as well, because this season is all about the 70s, with floral prints gleaned here and there, bell-bottom jeans and turtleneck jumpers. Let me show you, through the protagonists of this sitcom, the most beautiful outfits that you can totally wear right now.
Eric
Of all the protagonists, it's Eric, the main character in this cult series, who sports the most conservative outfit. His thing? Checked shirts and jeans.
Michael
Beautiful and a bit of a twit, Michael shows a bit more style and daring here, but not too much all the same, as his angelic little face shouldn't be overshadowed.
Fez
The exchange student, whose hometown is never mentioned in the sitcom, can't help but put his foot in it, which probably makes him my favourite character. His look? Everything and nothing at the same time. A real chameleon in the way she dresses, she was even seen flaunting garter belts once...
Steven
He's got the swag, Steve! He's the rebel of the cast. What's he wearing? Pilot goggles and a band t-shirt.
Here's to his ladies...
Donna
She doesn't much care what she looks like, because there are more important things to do, like saving the world or stopping her sidekicks on the show from sinking into screwy schemes. His outfit? A pair of bell-bottom trousers and a blouse.
Jackie
A narcissistic brunette, Jackie follows fashion closely and loves to attract attention. Hence her super girly outfit.
Season 1 is a compendium of fashion inspiration, see for yourself:
