Silver or gold - which jewellery suits you?

Have you noticed that certain pieces of jewellery make your complexion glow and others don't? If you make a mistake with jewellery, it literally makes you look pale.
I've had beautiful silver statement earrings in my jewellery box for years, but to my amazement I've never worn them once. Every time I've wanted to wear them, they've been cancelled out at the last second by another pair. The reason for this is that the silver stud earrings don't match my warm skin tone. That's why my complexion looks paler than usual when I wear these earrings and I don't like myself. To avoid future bad purchases, I've been choosing jewellery not only according to my taste for some time now, but also making sure that they accentuate my skin tone.
Silver, platinum and white gold
If your skin tone is light and rather pale, understated jewellery with a cool tone will flatter you. Go for white gold, silver or platinum. The cool jewellery type tends to look sporty and goes well with subtle colours and cuts when it comes to clothing. If you want to add a touch of glamour to your look, I recommend pieces with gemstones. Want to wear yellow gold despite pale skin? Then buy silver jewellery that is partially gold-plated. Make sure that the silver content predominates.
Yellow gold
Darker skin types need jewellery with a warm undertone. The same applies to tanned skin. This is why gold jewellery is particularly popular in summer. However, the precious metal looks anything but classy on heavily tanned skin. Kitschy is more like it. In this case, I recommend gold jewellery that has a champagne-coloured undertone, like the "Vong Tron" earrings from Mifan. I also advise against adding gemstones, as yellow gold is more eye-catching than cool precious metals and therefore already makes enough of a statement. Instead, you can combine it with items of clothing in bold colours.
Pink and rose gold
If you are a light skin type and you actually like gold better than silver, rose gold is the right choice for you. Strictly speaking, this is not a pure metal, but an alloy. Gold is enriched with copper to create the rose-coloured undertone. As soon as the copper content is higher, it is no longer rose gold but red gold. The latter is better suited to darker skin tones due to its warm undertone. Rose gold, on the other hand, is universally applicable and flatters every skin type.
Attention: It's not just your skin that tells you whether a piece of jewellery suits you, but also your eye and hair colour. A light skin type does not always have light-coloured hair or eyes. If you are the Snow White type, for example, you can test the "vein method": look at your veins in daylight. If they have a greenish glow, your skin has a warm undertone. Gold is therefore the perfect choice for you. If, on the other hand, your veins are bluish in colour, your skin type is cool. In this case, cool precious metals will flatter you.
