Pia’s Picks: the prettiest folding chairs
These garden chairs are easy to fold up and put away – a major plus if you don’t have much outdoor space. They’re also more than capable of competing with conventional furniture when it comes to style and comfort.
When I think of foldable chairs, I usually think of wobbly camping chairs. The kind that make you worry they might fall apart at any second while you’re sitting on them. However, the designs I found in our range couldn’t be further from what I typically picture. They look good – and comfy. The best part? You can stow them away just as quickly as you unfolded them. A plus if you have a small balcony or garden.
Foldable furniture is generally lightweight and easy to transport. As a result, it’s well suited to being taken on trips and makes less work for you if you’re moving house. When you’re not using it, however, it can be quickly stowed away under a bed, in a cupboard, in your cellar or in the garage. Basically, fold-up outdoor chairs adapt to your needs – whether you’re having friends over, setting up a makeshift workspace or hosting an event.
Foldable chairs don’t look much different to their fixed counterparts. At least, my favourites don’t. I prefer ones with soft, fabric elements and natural materials such as cotton and wood, ensuring comfort isn’t sacrificed. See for yourself!
