Pia’s Picks: your mess deserves one of these baskets
by Pia Seidel

Although it may be fashionable right now to transfer your pasta and rice into nondescript jars with wooden lids, I’m not a big fan of these colourless storage solutions. When it comes to pastel-coloured containers, however, I’m right on board. Using them feels like designing a sweet shop.
When you decide to do a clear-out, the first step is often a little shopping trip. That may sound strange, but then again, so does wearing cardigans in the summer or eating chilli chocolate. And no one would argue those things don’t have their place. I don’t know about you, but whenever I find myself some stylish storage solutions that inject colour into my clear-out, I suddenly feel motivated and ready to tackle the mess.
These boxes aren’t just handy. They also turn the process of decluttering your home into a real experience. An enjoyable experience that not only creates order, but feels like a trip to Candy Land.
Pastel colours make decluttering almost as enjoyable as a sweet treat. Why not see for yourself? Here are some of my favourites:
In my Pia’s Picks series, I regularly showcase my favourite finds – things I might not need, but definitely want.
Like a cheerleader, I love celebrating good design and bringing you closer to everything furniture- and interior design- related. I regularly curate simple yet sophisticated interior ideas, report on trends and interview creative minds about their work.
