Now available: Bosch Visimow 18V robot lawnmower for small lawns
The Visimow 18V is a beginner-friendly, cordless robot lawnmower without a charging station. It is suitable for lawns of up to 200 square metres.
If you're dreading the lawn mowing season, you could save yourself some work with the Visimow 18V from Bosch. The device is aimed at beginners with smaller gardens and focuses on the basic purpose: mowing the lawn. There is no app, no Wi-Fi control and no wide range of setting options.
According to Bosch, it is not necessary to set up the device. You don't need boundary wires or posts to show the robot where your garden ends. It uses its front camera to find its own way around. The robot can be controlled using the buttons on the device and then gets straight to work.
The Visimow 18V is now available from us as a variant for up to 100 or up to 200 square metres of lawn.
You have the choice in each case: If you buy the solo set, the robot lawnmower comes to you without a battery. The battery set contains a battery and charger. The cordless blade set includes a battery and charger as well as an additional set of blades. The Visimow 18V-100 comes with a 4.0 Ah battery, while the large version for 200 square metres comes with 5.0 Ah.

The Visimow 18V navigates with front camera and ultrasonic sensors
Without a boundary wire and without GPS, the robot uses its front camera and ultrasonic sensors to orientate itself in your garden. It analyses the camera image and recognises the grass areas. For correct detection, the areas not covered by grass must be at least 35 centimetres wide. According to the manufacturer, the Visimow 18V recognises obstacles via ultrasound.
The robot does not create an internal map of your garden and does not work in systematic paths. Instead, according to Bosch, it follows a random mowing pattern - which should still reach all areas of the lawn and avoid double mowing.
Visimow 18V-200 for up to 200 square metres:

The «SpotMow» function allows the robot to mow only small, unmown areas, such as under garden furniture. The Visimow 18V can tackle slopes with a gradient of up to 35 per cent.
Cutting height and other specifications
The cutting height can be set between 20 and 60 millimetres. A rotating disc with three blades gives the Visimow 18V-100 a cutting width of 16 centimetres, while the larger version has a cutting width of 18 centimetres. The Visimow 18V is IPX5 waterproof and, according to Bosch, you can clean it with a garden hose. With the child safety lock, you can ensure that your children do not start the robot.
If you already own 18V Bosch appliances, the Visimow 18V has another advantage for you: It also uses the «Power for All»-18V battery system and is therefore compatible with your existing batteries. There is no charging station. If the battery is empty, you have to remove it and charge it.
