The mum of a young daughter regularly shares DIY tricks with her 28,000 or so followers. Sometimes she also gives tips on how to decorate children's food. Last week, a reel that she actually shot for Halloween went viral on Instagram. In it, the influencer shows how she makes her own slime with just three ingredients: psyllium husks, water and food colouring. You also need a small saucepan.

In the video, Denise shows how easy it is: she puts three tablespoons of psyllium husks in a pan and adds 200 millilitres of water and a few drops of food colouring. She brings the whole thing to the boil briefly and the non-toxic goo is ready. Fans celebrate it and thank her in the comments - especially those who never wanted to buy Slime but whose children are now at an age where they really want it.
In the midst of the viral jubilation, however, some parents are also reporting difficulties. For example, that the slime has become too sticky. "It's best to let it cook for longer," advises the expert, whose homemade slime really does look perfect in the video.
