Leave on holiday with peace of mind

If you really want to relax on holiday, you need to be sure that everything at home is in order. Here are a few tips that should keep thieves at bay so you can enjoy your holiday without worry.
Tip 1: Ask someone you trust to empty your letterbox, as a full one is a sign of absence and attracts thieves. This carelessness must absolutely be avoided.

Tip 2: Use timers for one or more floor lamps or a radio. A flat lit with music gives a more lived-in effect than if it were dark and silent. Another alternative is also a socket with an app-based function - that way, you can be on holiday and, at the same time control connected appliances without any problems.
Tip 3: Top-of-the-range doors and locks make burglaries more difficult. To make sure you always have an eye on your home, and leave it with a good feeling, there are some very useful products: remote surveillance systems consist of sensors, alarms and even a network camera. Thanks to a free app, you can watch remotely from your smartphone or tablet. A door sensor, for example, immediately sends you a notification when someone tries to break open the door.
Tip 4: Important documents and jewellery should be stored in a safe.

Tip 5: Before you leave on holiday, don't forget to close all doors and windows. Pay particular attention to garage and cellar doors, and dormer windows and windows in the cellar. To make your home appear lived-in, we recommend leaving roller shutters or blinds open.
Tip 6: You can switch off your answering machine - if possible, forward your calls to your mobile phone. Tip 7: Ask your neighbour if he can, from time to time, check that everything in your house/apartment is in order. That way, the letterbox can be emptied and the plants watered regularly. If you can't find anyone to carry out this task, you can also make use of micro-irrigation systems. With this system, the plant only takes as much water as it needs. Personally, I like to use these products when I'm on holiday.

Total relaxation on holiday
While you're sitting in your deckchair enjoying the view and the sun, you can be sure that your flat is in perfect summer. The robot hoover makes it possible - thanks to the Smart Home app, the hoover can be controlled by smartphone using WiFi.
To ensure that everything runs smoothly on holiday and that you can charge and use the mobile phone, laptop, electric toothbrush, hairdryer, etc., don't forget that other electrical sockets are used abroad and you may need an adapter. To be able to charge your products when you're on the road, a mobile charger is ideal. Many devices also give you the option of starting your car in case you run into problems on the way there or back.
