Laura’s Likes: 7 green sweatshirts for Brad Pitt’s F1 look
Brad Pitt doesn’t just wear racing suits in the F1 film – he also wears a plain green sweatshirt. And it’s been sold out ever since. Not to worry though, you’ll find seven alternatives here.
What do Jeremy Allen White and Brad Pitt have in common? They’ve both generated hype around completely banal items of clothing. While the former made the world go crazy for a white crew-neck T-shirt when he played Carmen Berzatto in The Bear (more on that here), Brad Pitt as racing driver Sonny Hayes is currently igniting an unbridled demand for ... a green sweatshirt.

Sunspel – the brand behind the sweater – was founded in 1860 in Nottingham, England. What’s it known for? High-quality, simple basics, fairly manufactured in Europe. Pitt’s Loopback Sweatshirt definitely isn’t a new piece in Sunspel’s range and certainly wasn’t specially produced for the film. In fact, the Loopback Sweatshirt, that was designed by former creative director Jonathan Anderson, has been available for over 15 years in 18 different colours with a price tag of 135 British pounds.
That means ... it’s currently completely sold out. At least in Thyme and Shell Pink – the two colours Brad Pitt’s character Sonny Hayes wears (so outrageously well) in F1. Of course, you could be patient and grab one when the original sweatshirt’s available again. Or you can get the Brad look now with one of these seven Sunspel dupes:
Always in the mood for good hits, great trips and clinking drinks.
