Last-minute gift: roasted almonds in 5 minutes

There are only a few days left until Christmas. But you don't have much time, don't want to or can't bake biscuits and still want to give something small as a gift? I've found the perfect last-minute gift for you and tried it out with Ramon, my office mate. You can make these delicious roasted almonds in just 5 minutes using a microwave.
Christmas is a stressful time and Christmas Eve is knocking on the door sooner than you'd like. Despite everything, you don't want to be left empty-handed and want to make a splash with a small gift when you receive an invitation. This recipe is suitable for even the biggest kitchen philistines and is sure to succeed.
What you need
- 200 g unpeeled almonds
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
- 1 sachet of vanilla sugar
- 2 tbsp water
- 4 tbsp cane sugar (normal sugar also works well)
- 1 bowl
- Baking paper
- Microwave
- if required, foil bags for packaging

Step 1
First put the ingredients cinnamon, vanilla sugar and cane sugar in a small bowl and mix them together. [[fullsizeimage:10283255]]
Step 2
Add 2 tablespoons of water to the sugar mixture and microwave at 600 watts for one and a half minutes.

Step 3
Remove the warm mixture from the microwave, add the almonds and mix well. Then put the mixture back in the microwave for another two minutes.

Step 4
Take the almonds out of the microwave, stir well once and put them back in the microwave for another minute and a half.
Step 5
Your roasted almonds are now almost ready. Spread the almonds on baking paper and leave to cool. You can then package them as you wish (or simply enjoy them straight away 😉)

We wish you happy holidays!
