Galaxus launches Travel eSIM
Galaxus Mobile customers can now benefit from inexpensive roaming data abroad with Galaxus Travel eSIM. Installation takes just a few minutes and can be done directly on most smartphones.
Until now, Galaxus Mobile customers had to dig deep into their pockets to use mobile data in certain countries. In Zone 3, which includes Vietnam and Sri Lanka, 100 MB of data roaming cost around 28 francs. By launching its very own Travel eSIM, Galaxus is making expensive roaming data a thing of the past. Now, 1 GB of data in Vietnam costs just 3.10 francs and 4 francs in Sri Lanka. There are also attractive deals for destinations closer to home. In Italy, for example, 1 GB costs 2.70 francs. Galaxus Mobile customers can select a data package online in their Cockpit, install the eSIM directly on their smartphone and start using inexpensive mobile data abroad just a few minutes later.
This new service currently includes around 200 countries and regions. Data packages are available from 1 GB to 20 GB and validity periods range from one week to one month. Any unused data packages are automatically refunded after 60 days. Depending on availability in the destination country, network access is provided via the best possible mobile network standard, including 5G. The technical handling is done by eSIM Go, while Galaxus remains the contractual partner.
All current tariffs for Galaxus Travel eSIM country packages are available in the Galaxus Mobile Cockpit. Good to know: Some older smartphone models, in particular, may not be eSIM-compatible. Whether a device supports eSIM can be checked in the settings. Standard roaming data packages will continue to be available alongside the new Travel eSIM service.
