For hills and valleys: equipment for climbers
Do you know the mountains like the back of your hand? Do you like to climb difficult paths to the top and then descend in spectacular style? We've got everything you need for your adventure.
For entry-level models, the bike frame is mostly made of aluminium, as the material offers the best value for money in terms of weight and stiffness. For mid- to high-priced mountain bikes, there's no way around carbon: low weight with high stiffness and maximum comfort.
When it comes to suspension, there's a big difference between the two. When it comes to suspension, there's a difference between full (front and rear suspension) and hardtail (front fork suspension). Hardtail mountain bikes have only fork suspension. Suspension at the front and rear of the fully ensures optimum comfort, as shocks are absorbed considerably.
The choice of wheel size is a matter of personal preference. The choice of wheel size is also decisive: if you compare quality, a classic 26-inch wheel is the lightest and smoothest. However, 29-inch wheels offer better traction and, thanks to their larger diameter, a better riding experience. The 27.5-inch wheel (also known as the 650B) is halfway between the 26- and 29-inch wheels. It combines all the advantages mentioned above, but at the same time requires you to make a few compromises.

As well as a whole selection of top-of-the-range, well-equipped bikes, we've also got all the gear you need for your next cycling trip: From automatic pedals, to rucksacks and helmets, to shoes and clothing, right through to bike computers with and without GPS.
