Don’t worry, what I’m about to say isn’t a product recommendation. Nor a product review. It’s simply an invitation to look at this glow stick.
Again and again I take it out, twist it open and hold it in direct sunlight. Then I marvel at the pretty sparkles. Sometimes they’re green, then pink or copper – depending on the angle. And don’t even get me started on how cute the packaging is. The Kiss on Cheeks pH-reacting Lip & Cheek Stick from Essence has awakened a new level of excitement in me – I want it badly. And if that wasn’t enough of a reason for me to get it, the product’s also only available for a limited time.
But I’ll admit, based on my previous purchasing and consumer behaviour, a playful tint for cheeks and lips is guaranteed to end up in the drawer. I’ll use it once, then never again. The pink, sticky veil that develops when I apply it to my skin doesn’t match my preferred make-up aesthetic. Do you feel the same way? Then just enjoy the glittering pictures and save yourself the purchase.
