digitec photo contest: send us your best black and white portraits
by Eva Lipecki
As part of the series on Peter Lindbergh, the most beautiful pictures will be exhibited at Photobastei on 9 December 2021.
When we asked you to send in your best portrait shots as part of the series on Peter Lindbergh, we never expected so many of you to take part in our contest. Within three weeks, we received 1,400 photographs.
The jury, that’s Thomas Kunz (photographer), Armin Tobler (documentary filmmaker), Julian Stauffer (art director) and Eva Lipecki (brand manager), hard a hard time picking their favourites. However, after several hours of visioning and discussing, we were able to agree on a selection for the exhibition. Together with Stefan Rappo, a long-time first assistant to Peter Lindbergh, we then selected the three winning pictures.
We’ll contact all participants in the coming days and let them know whether their picture has been chosen for the exhibition or not. The exhibition is from 9 to 23 December 2021 at Photobastei Zurich. We’ll also clarify details regarding the print quality with the photographers of all selected images. The three best pictures will be printed in a slightly larger format. To keep things exciting, we’re going to crown the winners of the digitec vouchers (1st place: CHF 400.–, 2nd place: CHF 200.–, 3rd place: CHF 100.–) during the vernissage on 9 December 2021. During the award ceremony, Stefan Rappo will explain why the three photos were chosen as winners. We’ll send everyone who participated in the contest an electronic invitation to the vernissage on 9 December and are looking forward to seeing as many as you as possible at Photobastei Zurich.
