Car vs. inline skates: racing through Zurich, part 1

One of our Galaxus adverts shows an SUV being held up by inline skaters. A real-life scenario? Simon in a car and Michael on inline skates set out on a head-to-head race through Zurich.

Three stages, three everyday situations, two means of transport. First off, we’re heading from the digitec store to the recycling point to dispose of our empty bottles. Stage two takes us to the local supermarket and in our last stage, we’re picking up our friends and meeting up on Sechseläutenplatz. While Michael is taking the direct route on his inline skates, Simon in the SUV is moving no faster than 50 km/h.

Our first stage begins at the digitec store and takes us to the near-by recycling point on Heinrichstrasse. Whoever has disposed of the empty bottles first wins this stage. The pitfalls for Michael are tram tracks, zebra crossings and a construction site. Simon is forced to take a detour and is also held up by a construction site.

Who will arrive at Sechseläutenplatz first?

When I flew the family nest over 15 years ago, I suddenly had to cook for myself. But it wasn’t long until this necessity became a virtue. Today, rattling those pots and pans is a fundamental part of my life. I’m a true foodie and devour everything from junk food to star-awarded cuisine. Literally. I eat way too fast.
