"Basic extras": Beauty products I no longer want to do without - Part 2

They are not necessities - and yet I can't do without them: my beauty basics. In the second part of my series, I'll introduce you to three more products that are always part of my make-up and skincare routine.
Fashion basics? We know them! A white T-shirt, a black coat or a well-fitting pair of jeans. Beauty equivalents would probably be things like deodorant, shower gel, a hairbrush and so on. The basic pillars of hygiene. In my opinion, however, there is another group of basics. These include a handful of specific recommendations that are not absolutely necessary, but which I believe could be extremely useful for many people. I call them "Basic Extras".
"Infinite Shine 3 Gloss" from O.P.I.
A gloss like from the nail salon - yes, I have fallen victim to this advertising promise several times. And after numerous manufacturers have broken my heart with empty phrases, one product has patched it up for me: the "Infinite Shine Gloss Topcoat" from O.P.I.. Admittedly, the finish is not one-to-one comparable with that from the UV lamp, but it still stands out among the many gel-effect nail polishes.

The product is actually part of the brand's three-step system. But forget the system, the varnish also works excellently beyond that. I combine it with different polishes from various manufacturers. The gloss gives my nails the finishing touch: a voluminous shine that is reminiscent of a gel manicure and - despite its thick consistency - dries surprisingly quickly.
"Space Cowboy" from Urban Decay
"Space Cowboy" rode the trend bull so persistently in 2024 that I ended up buying the glitter eyeshadow too. But I held up so well ... At least now I know what everyone loves about the "Moondust Shadow" from Urban Decay: The eyeshadow can be applied over many eyeshadows thanks to its almost transparent base and silver glitter particles. As a kind of sparkling topper that makes your look look a little more glamorous or playful. Or you can wear it on its own. Either way, this mono shadow can be used in a variety of ways and is therefore a great addition to your favourite eyeshadows.

"Nail Polish Corrector" from Essence
No matter how hard you try, you always end up painting over your nails? Let me assure you of two things: A) you're in good company and B) you don't have to start all over again. The "Nail Polish Corrector" from Essence is like a nail polish ink killer and instantly makes unsightly brushwork disappear. You can think of it a bit like a felt-tip pen with a slanted tip that releases nail polish remover. If you run it along your nail contour, you can correct mistakes in seconds. There are three replacement tips at the rear end.

As a massive Disney fan, I see the world through rose-tinted glasses. I worship series from the 90s and consider mermaids a religion. When I’m not dancing in glitter rain, I’m either hanging out at pyjama parties or sitting at my make-up table. P.S. I love you, bacon, garlic and onions.
