Salewa Ortles TirolWool® Responsive Stretch Hooded Jacket

The Ortles Tirol Wool Responsive Stretch Hooded Jacket offers lightweight all-weather insulation for aerobic use in alpine terrain. The jacket is well-suited as a standalone outer layer, but also serves as a versatile mid-layer under a classic shell jacket.

The combination of the 4-way stretch nylon outer fabric and the elastic insulation makes this hybrid jacket an ideal companion for all mountain activities. The three-dimensional structure of the fleece fabric in the outer layer provides excellent breathability, elasticity, and durability, as well as optimal moisture transport.

The TirolWool® Responsive Stretch filling efficiently dissipates excess heat during intense physical activity while keeping the body warm during breaks—even when wet. TirolWool® is made from wool sourced from high-alpine Tyrolean mountain sheep and was developed in collaboration with the Tyrolean mountain rescue service. The Responsive technology recycles the body's natural infrared energy, gradually releasing it, which enhances comfort, improves performance, and accelerates recovery.

For additional storm protection, the jacket features an adjustable insulated hood and a high front collar. The front zipper has a continuous wind flap on the inside. The jacket also includes two outer pockets and a zippered chest pocket.
