Salewa Ortles TirolWool® Responsive Stretch Hooded Jacket

The Ortles Tirol Wool Responsive Stretch Hoodie offers lightweight all-weather insulation for aerobic use in alpine terrain. The jacket is well-suited as a standalone outer layer, but also serves as a versatile mid-layer under a classic shell jacket.

Perfect for the mountains. The combination of the 4-way stretch nylon outer fabric and the elastic insulation makes this hybrid jacket an ideal companion for all mountain activities. The three-dimensional structure of the fleece fabric in the outer layer provides excellent breathability, elasticity, and durability, as well as optimal moisture transport.

Natural and intelligent insulation. The TirolWool® Responsive Stretch filling efficiently dissipates excess heat during intense physical activity and keeps the body warm during breaks—even when wet. TirolWool® is made from wool sourced from high-alpine Tyrolean mountain sheep and was developed in collaboration with the Tyrolean mountain rescue service. The Responsive technology recycles the body's natural infrared energy, gradually releasing it to ensure greater comfort, better performance, and faster recovery.

Storm protection. Additional storm protection is provided by the adjustable insulated hood and the high front collar. The front zipper features a full-length wind flap on the inside. The jacket also has two outer pockets and a zippered chest pocket.
